Enterprise Software Business Models vs. Enterprise SaaS Business Models
Enterprise SaaS software is a new phenomenon in the market, and has its own set of challenges. One major difference between it and other types of enterprise products is that Enterprise SaaS applications are not finished when they come out; instead, you have to customize them for your company’s needs.
It is important to know the difference between traditional enterprise software and enterprise SaaS. The former requires significant upfront investment in order for clients to access your product, while the latter provides it via a Web-based service that has an ongoing subscription fee.

Enterprise SaaS is a business model that relies on high volume, low cost products. This means the product itself has to be marketed in order for success; it’s not enough just to rely on word of mouth or advertising campaigns like traditional businesses might use.
